GoodRental is a property-management platform that helps property managers, owners, tenants, and vendors coordinate maintenance, leases, payments, and communication. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to operate the service.

Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, and phone number provided when you or your property manager create an account.
  • Property and lease data — property details, lease terms, work orders, and documents you add to the platform.
  • Communications — messages, maintenance requests, and email correspondence handled through the platform.
  • Usage data — basic technical information such as log data needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

We do not buy, rent, or scrape contact lists. Every address in our system is provided directly by a user with an active account or agreement.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the service: managing properties and leases, routing maintenance requests, processing payments, and sending the notifications described below. We do not sell your personal information.

Email communications

The emails we send are transactional — they relate to an active account or agreement. Examples include maintenance-request updates, lease documents, payment reminders, and application-status notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional bulk email.

Account holders can manage notification preferences in their account settings, and non-essential emails include an unsubscribe link. Closing your account removes your address from all future sending. Addresses that bounce or opt out are suppressed so they are not contacted again, and we monitor delivery to keep our sending healthy.

Service providers

We share information with trusted service providers only as needed to operate the platform — for example, cloud hosting and email delivery (Amazon Web Services) and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality and data-handling obligations.

Data security and retention

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data at every step.

Your choices

You may access, update, or request deletion of your information, and manage your email preferences, from within the application or by contacting us. We will respond to reasonable requests in line with applicable law.
